Robert Mitchell, Founder and CEO

Robert Mitchell

Founder & CEO

Rob, Founder of ASG, is the definition of an entrepreneur. He is a dedicated family man to his wife and two adult children and is as devoted to his company as he is to them. His longevity in the world of technology speaks volumes about his perseverance and ability to work with people from all walks of life. You’ll find him searching out the perfect craft beer and enjoying a great meal with good people in his spare time.

Ryan Kreger


As President of the company, Ryan oversees ASG’s business development, client services, and general management of the team.  His responsibilities include additional staff decision-making, strategic planning, and risk management. He aspires and enjoys ensuring the company is firing on all cylinders and delivering the highest quality and value in every possible interaction. He comes from a Systems Administration background, having worked his way through the many roles within ASG.

Heather Abel

Office Manager

Heather is a Connecticut native, who transitioned from the world of banking to ASG in 2013. She’s the main point of contact at ASG for client questions and support requests. Wearing many hats, Heather juggles everything from scheduling on-sites to processing invoices. At home, she’s a crazy cat mom who loves to read and listen to music.

Chris Hyatt

Senior Network Engineer

Chris has 20 years’ experience in the IT field, but that doesn’t mean you can’t teach an old dog new tricks! He’s our Senior Network Engineer, and his ever-expanding technological repertoire keeps ASG at the top of its game. When he’s not hiking with his wife and two daughters, he can be spotted playing guitar, and cracking decidedly unexpected jokes, until you get to know him.

Zach Hays

Network Administrator

Zach has been working in the IT Field for twelve years. After starting his career as a hardware tech fresh out of school he has moved up to being a Network Administrator. When he’s not working he enjoys going to the gym, training in Ju-Jitsu, and spending time in the woods hiking.

David Dempster

Chief Information Security Officer

Dave began his career with ASG in 2005 as a Field Technician and has advanced to the Chief Information Security Officer role. He has a nose for sniffing out weaknesses in networks before cybercriminals have a chance to attack. Dave enjoys helping clients understand the “why’s” of IT and is always wearing a smile on his face.

Clifton Waite Jr.

Technology Alignment Manager

Cliff is a well-experienced Technology Alignment Manager with a proven track record of excellent customer relations and business success. Growing up in a small town with small-town values has given him the ability to be personable yet excel and be proficient at what he does in the IT industry. He enjoys nothing more than his growing family and dedication to his job.

Mike Scalesse

Technology Alignment Manager

As a Technology Alignment Manager, Mike’s job is to lead a proactive approach to ensure our customers use best practices and are in an optimal position to work as efficiently as possible. Mike has been in the IT industry for over 15 years and is a graduate of the University of Connecticut. Mike lives in North Haven CT. His true passion is his family, consisting of his wife, two daughters, and his dog. Outside of work, Mike loves being outdoors and has an affinity for reading history and science.

Louis Burwell

Service Manager

Louis came to ASG after spending over ten years in the wireless phone industry. He’s a quirky ginger who loves growing his skillset as our Service Manager almost as much as he loves candy, his beautiful wife, Kate, and their dog, Mimu. His weekends are filled with building custom workstations and cruising on his motorcycle through the backroads of CT.

Matt Scaffa

Service Desk Technician

Matt came to ASG after working for the NYC Dept of Ed as a Grant Project Manager, where he advised technology coordinators on allocating funds and equipment purchases. He entered the help desk world to explore his passion for helping others. He is a huge soccer and sports fan, always down to relax and watch the game.

Ian Castellano

Service Desk Technician

Ian has been in the IT field for seven years, with five years in tech support and two years in help desk support. He obtained his cyber security associated degree in 2019. He loves spending time with family during his free time, and some of his favorite hobbies are playing softball and working out.

Tom Katkov

Service Desk Technician

Tom came to ASG after moving back to Connecticut from Colorado where he explored his passion for sports medicine. When he’s not building computers or expanding his IT skill set you can find him hiking with his dog, Caesar, mountain biking, or camping.

Ryan Pineau

Centralized Services Technician

Ryan has been in IT for over 15 years, in a wide array of software and hardware troubleshooting, systems administration, and backup and disaster recovery solutions. He enjoys relaxing with his dogs and playing video games in his spare time.

Gerald Farace

Inside Sales Representative

Gerald is a recent graduate from Quinnipiac University and started at ASG in November of 2019. As an Inside Sales Representative, it is his job to reach out to business leaders and get the conversation started about our unique approach to IT support. He resides in Orange, Connecticut, and enjoys golfing and snowboarding.

Anthony Direnzo

Inside Sales Representative

Anthony is a veteran of the United States Navy, has an A.A.S. in Medical Laboratory Technology, and has lived in Wallingford, CT, for over ten years. As an Inside Sales Representative, he is responsible for introducing our unique perspectives on IT support to local businesses. He has many interests, hobbies, and passions, including music, the outdoors, biking, hiking, movies, fitness, and humor.

Our mission is to use our approach to technology management to help our clients fully utilize their technology, making them more productive, competitive, secure, and ultimately more successful while maintaining the best customer experience available.
