Services & pricing
What does managed IT look like?
Managed IT means your technology is supported by a team that takes care of any IT issues that come up. It should feel like a partnership. It includes a service desk, proactive system monitoring and maintenance, and both remote and onsite support matched to each situation.
What does co-managed IT look like?
Co-managed IT is a partnership with businesses that already have an IT person or a small IT department. Instead of replacing them, we work with them and give them another layer of support. Your internal IT resource stays the main contact and keeps control; we step in when extra capacity or expertise is needed.
What's the difference between managed and co-managed IT?
Managed IT means we take full responsibility for your entire environment as your complete IT department. Co-managed IT is for organizations with existing internal IT staff. We work alongside them rather than replacing them, and your internal team keeps daily operational control.
What should managed IT cost my business?
Managed IT ranges from $140 to $175 per seat, and co-managed IT ranges from $90 to $125 per seat. A seat is one supported workstation. It's billed monthly per seat and is truly all-inclusive: security, backup and disaster recovery, monitoring, and support are all in the seat price. The rate you agree to is the rate you'll see on your invoices.
Working with ASG
What does being a client with ASG look like?
Support focused on your business operations rather than managing technology, an aligned partner who handles your technology woes, runs issues to ground with vendors, and gives you immediate support when you need it. We hold a 98.9% client satisfaction score on a rolling 30-day basis, with less than 1% of our tickets being escalated, and you work with the same 4 to 7 people across our business.
How does ASG work hand in hand with us on strategy?
Each client gets an assigned Technology Alignment Manager (TAM) and a virtual Chief Information Officer (vCIO). Your TAM handles proactive risk assessments and best-practice checks; your vCIO manages strategy and builds your technology roadmap. Year one plans out about a year ahead. By year two we're often planning several years out, because we know the business by then.
I've outgrown my IT provider. How does ASG make sure that won't happen with them?
We've grown from about 400 devices across 30 clients in 2014 to over 5,000 devices across 100+ clients today. We continually invest in our people, tools, and processes so our clients never outgrow us.
Getting started
What should we expect when transitioning to ASG?
After you sign, a planning phase begins and your Technology Alignment Manager becomes your point of contact, guiding you through each step. This lets us understand your operations and gather the information we need, so by the time onboarding begins you already know the team you'll be working with and how the process will unfold.
How much time does it take to onboard to ASG, and how impactful will it be to my business?
Onboarding takes about three months across three phases: stabilization (fix risk issues), standardization (apply best practices), and strategy (build IT roadmaps). ASG handles the work during onboarding, not your staff.
Security & compliance
How does ASG protect our data?
We use a layered backup strategy built to survive hardware failure, accidental deletion, disasters, and ransomware. Backups run on Veeam and are immutable, so nothing can alter or encrypt them after the fact, with copies held offsite in the cloud. Restores are tested automatically every night, and your Technology Alignment Manager reviews what is being backed up and what isn't, which is the half most providers forget.
How does my compliance factor into managed IT with ASG?
About half of our clients have compliance requirements, and our service packages include dedicated compliance support: governance, accountability, policy development, and ongoing reviews. We work across frameworks including NIST, HIPAA, HITECH, GDPR, CMMC, FTC requirements, PCI, CIS Controls, and SOC 2.
AI & automation
What is ASG doing for their clients on AI?
AI is no longer just a buzzword or a trend. It's here to stay. ASG has a dedicated Automations & AI department that helps guide clients toward the right use cases and best practices. We use AI to build better environments, support our clients, and analyze ticket trends and support delivery, and we run AI readiness assessments. We focus on understanding each client's business processes first. It's all about people, process, and technology.
