Co-Managed IT Services
Co-managed IT services make your internal IT team better instead of replacing it. ASG has done this for Connecticut businesses since 1997: we add the tools, the security stack, the after-hours coverage, and the senior depth, so your people stay in control and finally get ahead of the ticket queue.
How co-managed IT works with your team
Full Fixed-Fee Support
A complete IT package: remote management software plus integrated backup and security tools. We handle the stack so your team focuses on its goals.
Security Focused
The same security stack our managed clients run (endpoint detection, email security, MFA), plus the proactive measures and written policies that keep your business safe.
vCISO & vCIO
A virtual CIO plus a virtual chief information security officer (vCISO): seasoned experts who act as your outsourced technology and security leadership for a fraction of a full-time hire.
Co-managed IT support runs on the same four blocks
The same delivery model as fully managed IT. The difference is where the line sits: your team keeps the functions they want to own (most keep the day-to-day helpdesk relationship with their users), and ASG carries the rest. Security and compliance stay in the center either way, included.

Co-managed vs. fully managed IT
Same four-block delivery model, same security and backup included in the seat price. The only real difference is which blocks your team owns and what you pay.

What else you get
Tier-3 Escalation
Senior engineers on call when an issue is beyond your team's bandwidth or expertise. Your people escalate to us instead of drowning alone.
After-Hours Coverage
We watch your systems when your team is off the clock, closing the overnight gap so outages and breaches don't wait until morning to be found.
Project Bandwidth
Extra hands for migrations, rollouts, and refreshes, without adding headcount.

Where internal teams hit a wall
Resource constraints
In-house teams may not have the people, budget, or specialized skills to keep up with new technology and complex systems.
Scalability issues
As the organization grows, an internal team can struggle to keep pace with rising demand for IT services.
Time pressure
Daily tickets and upkeep eat the day, leaving little time for projects and other important work.
Overnight monitoring gap
When your team is off the clock, no one's watching. A breach or outage isn't found until they're back.
Co-managed IT might be a fit if…

An extension of your IT department
Co-managed IT keeps your internal staff in control and puts a full team behind them. Your people own the work they do best, and ASG covers the rest, from after-hours coverage to the projects and specialties one person can't carry alone.
- ✓Your staff keep ownership and day-to-day context
- ✓ASG fills the gaps: coverage, tooling, and specialties
- ✓One escalation path when something is over your head
The report behind the roadmap
Your environment gets measured the same way every other ASG client's is. Every finding is reviewed and dated twice before you see it, once by your Technology Alignment Manager (the engineer who owns your alignment) and once by your vCIO (the virtual CIO who owns your strategy). Then we go through the findings with you. Here's one line item out of 317.
- The questionasked the same way of every client
- Is there internet access with automatic failover to an alternate source?
- Why it matterswritten before anyone looked at your environment
- With how much of the business runs over the connection, an outage on a single line can stop work everywhere until the carrier fixes it.
- What we foundyour TAM's finding, in your environment
- No failover line present at this location.
Your vCIO's note: Raised with ownership, and they've decided against a second line for now. Documented as a known, accepted risk rather than an open gap. Revisit at the next annual plan.
Then reviewed with you. Findings go through your regular check-in with your TAM and your vCIO, which is where they turn into work instead of a document.
Sample line items, reproduced from the real report format with the client and their environment removed. Wording is representative, not any one client's assessment.
When did your IT provider last call you first?
Most IT waits for the phone to ring. ASG comes to you before there's something to call about. Here's the mechanism behind that, in writing.
Quarterly Risk Audits
Your Technology Alignment Manager (TAM) audits your environment against IT best practices and cybersecurity checks, quarterly for most clients, keeps your documentation current, and flags risk while it's still cheap to fix.
A vCIO Who Owns It
Your virtual CIO writes the policies, builds the rolling technology roadmap, and reviews risk directly with your leadership, so IT decisions get made ahead of the budget cycle instead of after an incident.
Findings Walked Through
That audit is a 317-question assessment across 46 categories. Your TAM and your vCIO each review and date every item, then the findings get walked through with you. Written in business terms, and they become next year's plan.
We'll be the most proactive partner you've ever worked with.
